Scoring a hit with ‘Julayi’ Allu Arjun teamed up with Puri Jagannadh to repeat the ‘Desamuduru’ success. Whether this combo has been able to generate success or not let us see

Story
One boy (Allu Arjun) two girls (Amala, Katherine), a twist before interval and another twist before climax, that is the story. To be more detailed, Sanju (Allu Arjun) and Komali (Amala Paul) fall in love with each other. Their love story is discovered in a diary by Akanksha (Katherine) and she follows Sanju. She discovers a truth suddenly. She tries to get close to Sanju. Then suddenly she discovers another truth. That’s how the story goes.
Performances
If anyone has doubts on why Allu Arjun is called Stylish Star that should get cleared with this flick. His styling is superb and looks very handsome. He has performed well in emotional sequences. His expressions during fight before interval was exceptional. His dance was good in ‘Top Lechipoddi’.
Amala Paul’s makeup was a problem, it looked more on her dusky complexion. Performance wise she was okay.
Katherine ‘over’worked as if she wanted to gain fame for ten films through one film. Of course, one cannot take his eyes off her toned thighs and oomph factor.

Brahmi’s comedy was a flop, his scenes in combination with Ali were irritating. The rest of the cast did their bits as required and didn’t have anything special to offer.
Highlights
  • Interval fight scene

Analysis
Somewhat incomplete, somewhere dissatisfaction…some emptiness…that’s the feel of ‘Iddaramayilatho’.
The visuals are great and so are the making values. Songs and fights are also good. Hero carrying the film on his shoulders is seen but overall the film doesn’t satisfy. The reason for that is weak script, there is no strength in the subject.
One love story is linked to one lakh crore scam and the action, romance is not in sync. Even the link (video camera) that connects them is also weak. Just because there are two twists in the story the makers thought they could shape up the rest as per their whims and fancies.

Puri made the film as though no one should question what he is doing. Agreed it is a cinema but that doesn’t mean logic is totally discarded. Cinematic liberties were used without mercy. There are many silly scenes. No smiles come for comedy, no feel in romance scenes, no excitement in action scenes, no impact in emotional scenes. The film starts flat, picks up speed before interval and then drops back to flat pace. The Brahmi-Ali comedy track in second half is utter waste. Here are few points that one can learn by watching the film.
How to wake up a patient in coma? By dousing his hand with kerosene or spirit and light it up. With that heat, the patient will wake up immediately (doctors can try this from now on)
If someone gives you 1 lakh crores where should you hide it? Somewhere far on top of a mountain, build a woodhouse and below that wood you must hide it (This is a good idea for those who have black money and struggling).
When someone is stabbed deeply inside the stomach they will only faint, life will not be in danger. After taking rest for few days everything will be alright.
If body is injured completely with pen knife and stabbed inside throat what happens? Don’t worry, it is risk free, life will be safe, only the person will go into coma (and you already know how to bring a person out of coma).
If such logical blunders are to be written this page will not be sufficient. Since it is a cinema why such critical observations you might think but in a film where there is a star hero and star director, conceiving such silly scenes will never convince the audience in any sense.

Since the film came with a hype and has a noted star, secondly, since the songs and fights are watchable those who want to watch them can go otherwise there is nothing in this film.
In cinema parameters, this is a below average to average stuff. We have to see how it encashes the summer advantage and solo release bonus.
Bottomline: Top Levaledhu!!
